„As I grew up musically listening to and learning from the whole Jazz-tradition, from Louis Armstrong, Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Bud Powell, Miles Davis to John Coltrane and Ornette Coleman it is a nice way to give something back to the music as a whole playing a programm with songs and ballads from the American songbook, the tunes which play such an important role to the development of Jazz.“

„I always listened to and loved many different styles of music. While I was
discovering the music of Bach, Beethoven and Chopin I also listened to Michael Jackson, Queen and Jimi Hendrix.
Along the road I discovered Keith Jarrett, Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock and Jazz became my main vehicle to express myself and to be creative in music. In a duo setting you have the freedom and also many challenges to draw from all these styles…. „
